Burnaby School District’s Industry Training Career Programs provide Grade 11 and 12 students with the opportunity to develop “on the job” skills and knowledge while earning graduation credits and industry standard training. In all the program options, students receive in-class training and work experience. Students can then choose to pursue work in the industry or a post-secondary education in their chosen career.
Open to students in Grades 11 or 12 (15 years of age or older)
- Taught in a specific Burnaby secondary school or at a post secondary institution
- Formal Application Process is required
- Students apply through their home school and submit a completed application
- Applications are screened at the school and district levels
- Accepted candidates and parents are invited to a program information session
